Can someone make an easier way to DL/Update maps

this search/find/DL/Install/attempt to play but MAP DIFFERS FROM THE VERSION THAT THE SERVER HAS stuff is getting old it is the reason that i don't play the L4D series anymore. to get maps you need to DL/Install them one by one Manually

Would it be possible to get maps through SVN like G-Mod? i like the one click simplicity of SVN to be able to update/Acquire everything with the paste of 1 link and a click of the mouse.

Could a Gaming community run the operation to make a master map download SVN which we can all get the best community maps and have them be updated to be able to enjoy the game better with less hassle?

I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THE GAME AND NOT LET THE GAME PLAY ME!
Why does this system for getting custom content exist? I miss the old days where maps would Download from the game while in the game

SVN is made for a very different purpose, and really shouldn't be used for this kind of stuff (even Garry's Mod). It works alright, but it's just not optimal.

Something needs to be made which is similar to Steam interface-wise, but which utilizes distributed hosting instead of dedicated hosting.

Well SVN was the easiest method that i could think of that would require the least amount of work to do an efficient job compared to a Auto download program that takes time and planning to build and keep active lists of locations.

I could easily do that, but I don't have much time, already working on other projects and Uni stuff~

SVN is interesting... "Patching" files on update might be really nice, too! Is it feasible to be used on VPK - I mean, getting a patch file whenever a maps gets updated, instead of having to re-download the full VPK?
