Get a Life Problems

I decided to give the Get a Life mod a try. It crashed a lot at first, then seemed to calm down. But now I'm at the part where the woman shotguns me. I wake up in a dungeon with some guy telling me to find bandages to stop the bleeding. I pick the bandages up. But when I try to use them I get an Engine Error "CUtLinkedList Overflow" Any ideas?

Newer system running Vista Home Premium x64

I didn't run into problems after the update. But I think I only played to the first map change.

Is the guy a doctor/scientist who knows your sister? (Don't remember exactly where you're talking about.)

I'd try reloading an earlier save. (Had to do that a couple of times myself, before the update, but not for where you're talking about.)

And if that doesn't help, there's a website for the mod.

You could also try adding the line Game sourcetest to the SearchPaths section of the gameinfo.txt file. (First, try it before Game hl2. If the menu only shows 3 options after that, move Game sourcetest below Game hl2.)

I started the game a few hours ago but i'm also stuck

Does anyone know what to do with the giant ant lion in the room with the big magnet hanging from the ceiling? i'm stumped

I have some more specific information on my CUtLnkedList Overflow problem. It only occurs when I open the inventory screen to do some healing. But it doesn't do it every time. It originally showed up in Renaissance. I'm in Skyvillage A and it still happens. I can make it happen if I open the inventory screen, heal myself, close the inventory screen and then reopen it within a few seconds.

I looked at Gorpie's bug thread yesterday.

The Get a Life website was no real help.

The patch they have seems to be specifically for the Mistake of Pythagoras mod.

This problem has also haunted players of Team Fortress, according to the forums.

I meant you could post your problem at their forum.

I had a problem when I played through, posted there and got a response in less than 10 minutes. I don't know if that's a typical response time, or not. (I think that they're in France and are at GMT 0.)

EDIT - Sorry about the link issue. I thought I saw "Mistake of Pythagoras" someplace, but when I specifically looked for it in relation to the DL, I couldn't find it... Maybe it was in the initial google results.
