Servers on Intel Xeon X3430

I've been looking to buy this dedicated server with a X3430 CPU (2.4Ghz Quad Core w/ Turbo (turbo: 2.8Ghz)). It also has 4GB RAM, but it's not relevant to the question.

My question to server admins who run off rented machines (not GSPs): will this CPU be able to host full 32 slot TF2 servers?

Yes it will run. But other factors depend of performance, i.e. memory 4GB will do the job buy can't go wrong with 6, bandwidth available, operating system Linux or windows.

if you just want to run one server i.e. a 32 slot tf2 then I would just rent a GSP one they will have perfected the con figs and settings for hosting a server of that size.
