CSS Sound Problem

Having problems with my sound as of late.
I can hear everything except walking/running (footsteps), radio commands (Fire in the hole) and gunshots.

I can hear grenade explosions, and any server plugin/killstreak sounds plus any music the server has at the start.

I've tried re-installing CSS, drivers and checked every possible solution within the game, unless I'm missing something.

I got the same problem, its really annoying. Is it our PC'S itself or another bug in this awful update?

Anyone know how to fix it?

Try this. Verify integrity of game cache, and rename the counter-strike source folder to something else. Then run css.

I have this same problem. Can't hear gunshots or footsteps.

Changing the "name" within the steamapps folder works.

Same audio problem here!, but I also can't create a LAN server, crashes when loading, anyone else also has this ?

EDIT:

I fixed both problems by deleting local files, then deleting the counter strike source folder in my steamapps/username folder, then reinstalled it.
