6 month preorder?
Is this duke numkem forever? I mean that is a little long. have the developers run out of money and need the community to float them an interest free loan?

It doesn't make sense. The release time is "Q1 2011.". Lets count. August, September, October, November, December, January, March, April 6th. (Apr 6th is start of Q1 in the USA) Eight months you have to wait. This makes me think the game won't turn out like I imagine. The trailers and promos look great, I love the art style. But maybe you're right, why else would they do this if they don't need the money?

I thought for STEAM, you don't actually get charged until the game starts preloading

But you can cancel it at any time before it goes live. jiminator: Maybe they are in need of some extra income in some way for safety reason. But if you want to be safe wait till it's like some month left. __________________ Information on VAC and our Steam forum rules. Please follow the rules, it ain't hard. |

I was wondering the same thing. I never preorder until I look at every deal I can.

lol I saw Brink pre-order today and had to double check. There's nothing wrong with it, just don't see that every day. I am kinda upset of the pre-order bonus pack you get from Steam. Gamestop pre-orders get a Doom set and Best Buy pre-orders get a Fallout 3 Set. Steam got Spec-Ops? WTF. Give us an Oblivion pack or something.

If the pre-order is up already, I'm guessing we might get early beta tester access. Not too thrilled about that, but at least those who test it can catch the bugs and provide feedback before the game goes live.
My 2 cents! |
