Codename 47 - Windows 7 Launch issue solution

For those of you who are having problems launching the game.

Goto the file directory for the game. Mine is in E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\hitman codename 47 and there is a 'hitman' config file (directly below the Hitman.exe).

Change the settings from:

Include Setup\Locale.zip
//DrawDll Render3DFX.dll
//DrawDll RenderD3D.dll
DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll
SoundDll Sound.dll
ScriptDll GSC.dll
LocaleDLL Locale.dll
Resolution 800x600
enableconsole

This is how the code should look. The only thing that has been changed is launching the game in OpenGL instead of Direct3D. The parts highlighted in red is what has been changed.

If the game then launches but doesn't fully load then go back to your game directory and change the compatibility settings of the 'hitman.exe' to Vista Service Pack 2.

Then once that is all done, start the game via Steam. If it still fails to start up change the hitman.exe compatibility settings to 'Vista Service Pack 2' and should now run perfectly.
