Borderlands and Steam Cloud

Is there a way to get Steam Cloud on Borderlands?

I use two computers and I want to keep my character when I switch computers.

Make a save of your character then and put it on a flashdrive.

There is no steam cloud for Borderlands.

I know there is no Steam Cloud for Borderlands, that's why I'm asking if there was some way to put it in.

But I'll try to do something with the save.

No it's developer side. No end user can enable it.

Ask Gearbox. They made the game, not Steam.

I seriouslly hope Gearbox adds cloud saves. I too have 2 PCs that I like to switch between for gaming. This weekend I was on vacation at my parents house and would have liked to play some Borderlands on my Dad's computer. I played Just Cause 2 instead.

New Borderlands Patch

A new patch coming September 9 for the PC version of Borderlands will add Steamworks support and will begin to test some new systems development studio Gearbox Software wants to incorporate into Borderlands 2.

EDIT: You forgot to quote the last sentence in that article, which indicates Cloud support directly:
"The addition of Steamworks support, Pitchford said, will help people not lose their saves, which people will be able to save in the cloud."

If Cloud is enabled, then this will soooo solve my current problem. <crosses fingers> I was jumping for joy when they finally implemented Cloud support for Defense Grid. Hated having to copy save files just to not have to play through levels all over again.

Anyway, on to my problem at hand. Here hoping the following two have info on this:

My issue is this: I created Mordecai on my gaming rig, then found out I could tone down the settings and get it to work on my i5 laptop with int. gfx. So, I created Lilith on my laptop. Then I wanted to play Mordecai again, so I copied over my character from my gaming rig. It worked great the first time. The next time I played, however, I had 2 Mordecais. I had a backup of the Lilith, so no issues resurrecting. The other day, I played Lilith again on the laptop, and when I went in now to check chars before copying files back to my desktop, Mordecai is no more. Now I have 3 Liliths. When I load them, they are all Lilith, even though they have the last game played date and time correct for Mordecai. In fact, two are spitting images of each other, even though the save times are different. In addition, my highest level Lilith is now spawning where I last left my Mordecai.

AUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can see how frustrating this is. I just want to have my characters back so I can move them to my gaming rig. I went ahead and Alt-Tabbed out of BL so that I could backup the saves without overwriting with a save (if it does that when exiting a no progress session).

I am guessing that I might have been able to prevent this from happeneing when I moved over Mordecai, I should have created him, made it to a saving point, then exited and pasted the save file from the other computer on top... that way this laptop would alsways see slot 2 as Mordecai. But, alas, I did not do that, so now I am stuck with a second Lilith in place of my Mordecai.

Can anyone offer any advice on what to do, aside from praying for Sept. 9 to arrive quickly.

Ya...uh...I played borderlands on my cousins comp with my charictar and NOW his are gone...WTF?! So im just wundering if I can ever get his old charictar back insted of making a new one?

PS.Im never using Steam cloud again.

You can't fix that. You copied over his save file. You have the option to choose whether you want to import a cloud save or not each time you use it on a different PC. You should have chose no until you backed up his save.
