Force steam cloud sync??

I hate to double post, but i posted this in the plants vs zombie forum and got no response. I figure pvz players may not be the most hard core gamers and probably just casual gamers. So i thought i'd ask my question here since people here are probably a little smarter on all things steam...

Is there a way to force the game to sync with the steam cloud?

I play PvZ on my main computer. When i go to my laptop it syncs with my current game and save data. I play only on the laptop for 3 days, wednesday, thursday and friday.

on saturday i go and play on my computer and a screen pops up and asks me if i want to sync with the cloud, but the date is thursday.

Doesn't seem like the laptop synced on friday. I copied the files from the laptop to the computer, but i don't want to have to do this every time i switch from the laptop to the computer.

so...Is there a way to force the game to sync with the steam cloud?

go to your library, rightclick your game, go to properties and in there it somewhere says "Sync with Steam Cloud", tick the box in front of it.

Yes, i've done that. Like I said, it does seem to sync some times, but not all the time. Was just hoping to find some kind of way to force it to sync. I got a feeling this isn't possible.
