GTA SA- Mouse does not work in game.

hey, just bought GTA SA for PC through steam... and the mouse doesnt work.

oddly enough it works in the pause menu, mouse pointer shows up and has the same range movment as the desktop.

but ingame, the mouse does not respond at all. RMB does not aim, LMB does not fire, the mousewheel does not switch weapons or radio stations, and the mouse does not control the camera... playing this game with only the keyboard sucks.

if anyone has a fix for this it would be appreciated.

Is the mouse/keyboard instead of gamepad activated @ Settings -> Controls ?

Try escaping to menu and the mouse around a bit. If didn't help then run the game in compatibility mode.
