Amnesia Released on Steam!!!

Well, at least for people in my region. I have just activated the game and I'm now downloading.

I think if you pre-ordered from Frictional Games themselves you got an activation key today that adds the game to your steam account. It allows you to download the game now.
However i believe the game will remain locked untill tomorrow when the game is officially released on steam.

I have it downloaded but I can't play it yet.

Everyone who bought it from the website can download now by going here and enter the details and activate it on steam with the CD-key you get.

May i ask how big the download was? I can't pre-load it untill it's released tomorrow as i pre-ordered from steam itself.

Yeah, I guess I got too exited, I got my key from the Frictional Store and activated on steam an hour ago, downloaded, but I have just tried to start it and I just get a message saying "The game is currently unavailable, try again at another time".

The reason that I thought it might be playable now, was because the files didn't seemed to be encrypted, but something obviously is.

EDIT: Ok, the files are definitely encrypted, oh well, the game will unlock for me in 12½ hours, so I wait

It's 1,8 Gb in size.

But since Amnesia is more of a game for the few with great taste, I don't think that Steam will be overloaded when it's time for you to download.

I'd love to pre-load this tonight so it's ready to go when it's unlocked but all I keep getting on the game in my library is Amnesia available soon, oh well, not long to wait now

I might wait for the site's offline installer, as I want a copy of that. That way I presume I can then copy the contents to Steam's folder, verify the cache so it updates perhaps the exe (so it's Steam friendly), and save having to get it twice.
