Any word yet on if a boxed copy can be played on Steam? If not, any idea on when they will tell us?

It's a steam-powered game and it uses VAC.
Signs point to yes, retail will activate on steam. Otherwise I don't think VAC would work very well. |

Ok I'm going to take that as a yes. The reason I'm buying boxed is because I'll get it for free via pre-order gift cards and amazon is giving a "laser cell". Thanks!

I will get it from amazon too. I have $210 bucks in Amazon gift cards that I accumulated over the years. Not to mention you can get it on release day for 5 bucks more.
I also don't like waiting 6 hours on non-busy servers and 12 hours on release day for the game. It took me 1 hour to install MW2 from the disk. |

Geez $210? Is it the cards that are credited when you buy games? I know those expire.
I'm using prime right now, but I know they had .99 release day delivery, maybe they still do. Btw amazon is doing a free 3 months of prime deal for "caregivers" you just sign up, don't have to be legit. |
