Double strike damage, stacking intentional?

Just wondering, is the stacking of "Double Strike Damage" intentional? It seems that with Blackjack, Stealth, and three strike spells, I'm a bit overpowered. Then again I'm only level 15. But I regularly do 50 damage per turn, and with Blackjack on, that's 150 damage before the opponent can move.

Maybe this becomes less of an issue in the higher levels, though?

It's intenden. You have to gather a lot of gems in order to pull out those moves, aswell as not having over 13 purple gems when you activate Stealth, because Stealth only gives you double damage if you manage to activate it with less than 13 purple gems.

And there aren't many double-damage spells that you can activate during ONE turn.

But I just equip Red Mana Potion and Green Mana Potion, which give me 9 mana for 1 action point. Then I only need to collect a few purple gems, and like 11 yellow gems, and I'm able to activate Blackjack and Stealth, and then do like 4 turns of double damage (I get bonus turns cause it always lines up 4 in a row when I do this), leading to like 160+ damage without the opponent even being able to move.

Also I think you're wrong about needing less than 13 gems for Stealth to do double strike damage - that's just so you don't have to waste a turn activating it.

I just haven't had a challenge since doing this. Boss fights are nothing. I don't even have to put THOUGHT into it. I just keep clicking the potions, collect a few yellow gems, and kill the opponent.

On a large Board you can basically chain together strikes ad infinitum. Just get 8 reds and 8 of two colors and you're good to go. I just killed the green dragon with 10 HP lost, starting to chain in turn 3. No strike multipliers needed. If you want to play through Endurance mode, take Red, Green, Yellow and Blue Strike, Healing Potion and Red Mana Potion. Add Stealth to preserve your HP so you don't have to use the mana potion so often.
