If i can't RMA it i will Replace the fan myself (i just want to find out if i can RMA it) Thanks in advance! |

Just disconnect the power supply, open it and replace the fan.
Been doing that since was a kid, very easy fix If it's under warranty and all that, then that's up to you if you want to replace. But BFG is no longer around ~ out of business. Google them or wait for more replies as I'm not sure who is handling their RMAs. If you replace the fan on your own, use a good quailty ball bearing or double ball bearing fan so that it lasts the life of the power supply. Power supplies usually have the fan(s) wired directly to the PCB, so you will have to splice the wires and do it that way. Still, not had to do. Last edited by Bad_Motha: 09-22-2010 at 05:16 PM. |

BFG can't even RMA their graphics cards anymore because they don't have stock to work with. I don't know about their power supplies but i'd just replace the fan myself anyways. Less hassle.

Yea even if you don't have any extra fans around that are good and have to get one from a local store, it's better then dealing with the RMA BS if you can avoid it.

Knock on wood that it's just your PSU fan and not the PSU itself.
Don't run it without a good working fan though, especially for games and such, it will overheat. |

What are the odds of you getting a case that uses 140mm fans.
Talk about lucky. Anyways, let us know how it goes. |
