Civ 5 CD Key help

Hi there,

I have just purchased Civ5 from GAME in the UK. I went to install this but it says in my steam account while activating the key that i already own this game.

I have tried to view the CD key for civ 5 in the game client to compare it with the game key i got from GAME. Is there any way i can confirm that this is an error during install and i havent bought this game twice. Once via steam and once at GAME.

You could take a look at your account here: https://store.steampowered.com/account. It will list all the licenses on your Steam account as well as their acquisition method. If you obtained Civ 5 via retail it will be listed as "Retail" under acquisition method. If you bought it via Steam it will be listed as "Steam Store".

Perfect mate. It says retail im happy now. thought id bought the game via steam in a drunken moment lol
