HL2DM Orange Box Bug List
Might as well start one guys.
Some of the errors from the Pre-Orangebox update may still apply See this Pre- Orangebox update thread Too many vertex format changes in frame, whole world not rendered This issue still happens to me, the game feels like the server is suffering from a ddos attack but it's only me, that error floods the console and textures are missing from the map, they appear for a split second and go away again. This is really bad on dm_overwatch but if you go inside the ground floor room it stops happening in some spots. Strafe jump has a delay that never existed After coming to a stop you cannot restart at full velocity like you normally could before the update, this is most likely caused by a slowdown effect after standing from the crouched position. Juggling physics is now broken Apparently this still works but once again the timing is off in game causing weapon models to disappear when they never used to. Inconsistent timing between windows and linux servers This is still happening, linux servers suffer from bugs that windows servers do not, honestly this should not be the case because linux can run a server just as well and cheaper, many seek this as an alternative. Multiplayer options not saving People reporting sprays not saving and other various settings not saving since the options menu change. HUD colliding with scoreboard at standard resolutions Example: Resolution @ 1024x768 http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/4299/dmrunoff0000.jpg "ShowHudText" not showing properly on the right side of screen at 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios (i.e. Crime on rp mods) This is a specific complaint but I'm sure it's not the only resolution bug involving HUD. Radio Menu format for SourceMod and Mani Mod Admin Menus Changes to HL2DM files that would allow ManiMod and Source Mod to produce the standard Radio admin menus instead of the Esc menu format followed by buttton menu Weapon switching is broken/Phys_swap dropping items when held in gravgun I noticed while playing yesterday that many times I pressed my gravity gun key to switch nothing happened, and I can tell that there is a delay between fast weapon switching, this defeats the entire purpose of having a gravity gun key to catch props quickly. SMG grenade smoke bug The smoke trail that should be behind the sub machine gun grenade is now vertical during flight. Grenade trail bug While holding a grenade in your gravity gun, dropping it and picking it up again creates a new shader/particle trail on top of the old one. - huge movement bug now, you cant sprint directly after you have finished a crouch jump, so you cant perform 2 strafes without failing the 2nd - No demo playback - Custom huds broken - Sprinting+Crouch= Divided by 0 - General gameplay laggy - Physics not in real time / www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxEdvnXSP5g - Weapons disappearing when fast switching / www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxEdvnXSP5g (0:02) - All surf maps will no longer work due to commands sv_accelerate and sv_airaccelerate being removed Last edited by Ghost Dog: 11-17-2010 at 12:22 PM. |

Keep them coming, we might get some follow up patches.
Mike are you saying you can't juggle anything in the gravity gun anymore including grenades? Or just physics? |

This topic about bunnyhopping being a bug is old, and already fell apart long ago. Think about it, a game similar to all other death match games with strafe jumping and bunnyhopping has these exact features with very similar velocities inadvertently? Valve updated this game long ago for the FIOS tournament so a $100,000 prize pool wasn't won by glitching and they left strafing and bunnyhopping in tact. Prove to me it's an unintended bug I don't want to hear the same empty arguments I've heard for years now. |

Suggestion: Remove the Underline and put the bug in RED.
