Steam won't launch Amnesia all of a sudden

Hi community,

When I try to start Amnesia, nothing happens. I've played Amnesia for more than five hours, but now it seems to be broken. Whenever I click on the PLAY button through Steam UI a new window appears and closes immediately. That's it. I can click on PLAY again - same behavior. Other Steam games remain unaffected.

As mentioned before I could play Amnesia perfectly fine. What I did was updating my graphics card drivers, which didn't affect any other game, though. That was a few days ago. Haven't been playing since. So I can't tell if that's the reason.

edit: I also validated files. No success.

Any ideas?

Try restarting your computer or going into "My Documents/Amnesia/Main/" and delete main_settings.cfg and then restart your computer.
