Demo folder
Hey guys
Actually I don't know if this issue is just bothering me, but the recorded demos are saved in the cstrike-folder itself, correct? Not like the taken screenshots, they'll be saved in cstrike/screenshots. So why is there no folder cstrike/demos? In competitive play you have to take every match at least one demo, mostly two for both sides. There are many "fun" ladders in almost every league like MR9 AWP/AIM, Rush, handgun, whatever. You just play about 10 minutes but have to take a demo of course. So if you play like 10 matches a day in those ladders, you'd have at least 70 demos in one week flooding your cstrike-folder. I fixed this issue for ages with the software MoveOut, which moves all .dem data to from a certain source to a certain destiny. So I didn't really care. But actually that should be fixed.. It also could be that I just don't know what I'm talking about because I did anything wrong ... tell me then please As I said, I never really cared so I didn't look how to fix it with any other properties or whatever. But I guess there is not any fix, is there?Regards Teddy |

Yeah, great idea. Just autosave all demos in a "demo" folder, just like it's done with screenshots!

Totally agree, make same thing for startmovie recordings. It's ridiculous that those huge files are in the cstrike folder.

Since this hasn't been made, I've had to use "record demo/demoname" so it can be in my "demo" folder. Hope valve/HPE adds this! |

And startmovie recordings should go in cstrike/demos/movies/<name of demo recorded>/ so if you record in TGAs or whatever it's kept neat and seperate. I don't see this as being hard to implement.

It's absolutely not. I guess they just didn't think about the competitive play where you need loads of demos. A casual player doesn't take a demo .. usually. (Okay, Screenshots neither ...) What ever, easy to implement, no big deal to push this quick between recoil and crosshairs .. 1 day, gogo
