Can't play

Just put the key in from a retail game, played the tutorial and single player, but when I play multiplayer I get this message:

Disconnect: Error verifying STEAM UserID ticket.

So, any suggestions?

I used to get that, I have no idea what for though. Verify integrity of game cache, delete .blob files in Steam folder and go to steamapps in steam folder than to your user name folder and delete The Ship folder there. Hopefully that works.
