Game moves super slowly

I've got the graphical settings down to lowest, and my computer isn't more than a year or two old, and I have Game Booster running, but the game moves unbearably slow. Can anyone give me a hand?

Well, the Processor is an AMD Sempron Processor LE-1250 2.20 GHz, it has a 4 GB RAM, 32-bit operating system, and I think the graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nFoece 430, but I don't know where to find the rest of it.

I tried the smallest windowed mode, but it still goes pretty slowly.

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows XP/Vista
Processor: Pentium 4 @ 3 GHz / AMD Athlon64 3000+
Memory: 1 Gb
Hard Drive: 9 Gb free
Video Memory: 256 Mb
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 6600 / ATI Radeon X1300
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
DirectX: 9.0c
Keyboard
Mouse
DVD Rom Drive

Looks like your video card is not enough to run this game at a playable level of performance.

I'm having the exact same problem. I can't play either on high details or on low settings on 640 x 480 without any acceleration.
If I exit the game my computer freezes and i have to reboot.

My Comp:

OS: Win XP
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+
Graphics: NVIDIA GForce 8800 GTS
RAM: 2 GB
Even tried to disable my onboard Sound and did update my drivers.
Nothing works...

Can anyone help ??

that's why you look at requirements before you buy a game. you have a painfully slow single core cpu and integrated graphics that were considered too slow 5 years ago. you will not be playing any modern games smoothly on that pc.

yeah that helps in some cases when using XP. if you had Vista or 7 then that is not needed. this certainly will have no impact on the op.

I ran into a problem thats sort of like this. I can run the game fine on max settings with a steady 60fps, but in the beginning of the game once you open one of the security doors leading to this boss that has the guy in the electric chair my fps immediately dropped to 4fps and would not budge from that.

The only way i was able to fix it to keep playing was suffer through the lag until it saved after that point, restarted the game and then once I was through the door it ran perfectly fine again. For some reason opening that specific door destroyed my fps and I couldn't tell you why. Game is running fine now since then.

Your video card - the 6150 is absolute junk. You need to upgrade that video card and then you computer will be able to play this game. Your CPU isn't that great, but it should handle the game when you upgrade your video card. I would suggest a 8800GT, 9800GT, or GTS250. In that order. All three cards are under $100. I have a 1GB RAM GTS250 I just upgraded from that I'm selling at [H]ardforum. I'd like $80 for it. Here is the link.

I am now using a GTX460 which is about a $200 dollar card and I can run everything completly maxed out at 60 fps. The GTS250 is in a completely different league than the 6150 onboard card you have. I can't tell you enough how bad that 6150 is.

it would be foolish to put any of those gpus with his old outdated and slow single core cpu. none of those cards would even be halfway utilized with a 2.2 Sempron single core. not to mention even if he had a decent cpu, his pc probably has an oem 250 watt psu.

Well I have bad FPS and I have a 1GB 9800 GTX Ultra Edition, E8500 CPU 3.2Ghz Core 2 Duo. Its not coming close to using 100% CPU and the GPU remains cool so I highly doubt its my system. I have everything turned down, but do have motion blur and ambient occ on. The sequence when we walked Joker in was horrible, and the 1st 'boss' fight was a battle - with playability, not the boss.

Im going to try an even lower resolution, turn off motion blur and ambient occlusion and turn the detail to low. Theres no way I should have to do that though; this rig runs Crysis at very acceptable and good looking settings without any issues.

Theres some other problem here.

That said, Aaron, you seriously need to upgrade your machine. Either go with an entire new build, which would be CPU, GPU, Power supply and Motherboard. Use your old RAM and HDD for some minor savings. You cold just replace the GPU and CPU, but youll probably need a new power supply too, and if you go that far you might as well get a new mobo and start fresh.

My old rig using an Intel P4 HT @ 3.2 ghz and an 8600 GTS still hang in there, but they are just recently starting to show their age with some of the newer titles.

Also, I dont recommend playing games on the bare minimum specs anyway (though your rig does not meet them) Generaly, in my experience, it leads to a poor experience. Personally I shoot for the recommended specs or at least have a component or two that meet recommended and a couple at bare minimum.

EDIT: It was the PhysX for Nvidia cards. Turned it off and its buttery smooth now
