What is the deal

I am so confused. Suddenly, I am randomly gaining karma when I kill ghouls. Happened earlier with fiends, too, so i loaded a previous save. Now the ghouls. I'm trying to be a bad guy here, how can I make this stop?

You cant ... the small amount you get there wont matter if you continue to be nasty at the big moments.

For example, ghoul troopers in camp searchlight give karma ... makes no sense till you notice the group of troops patrolling town who explain theyd like to kill their ghoul buddies to put them out of their misery

Theres a number of things that happen in the game that adjust karma in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ways but its all very small amounts of karma.

real baddie would keep them in their misery... keep them alive and run from them!

Yes, because a Scourge of the Wasteland runs and hides from a few measly ghouls.

Don't worry OP, I've been murdering ghouls and fiends left and right, and I'm still a level 29 Devil Spawn or something like that.

Just sign up with Caesar, you'll get a lot of bad karma.
