Polynomial crashing on startup

Polynomial Demo crashes on startup. The "GLFW" Window opens, stays blank then i get the "Program has stopped working" message with the following content:

edit: i found a solution: if you start the "Polynomial.exe" straight from the steamapps\common\thepolynomial-demo the error does not occur for some reason and the game seems to run just fine. Only when i start it from steam it won't work.

Hmmmm I'll tell Valve of the issue then. Could be overlay related.
