Why can't we like, I don't know, predownload the game?

Is it yet not ready or something else I am missing here? I would really like to download A HUGE GAME WITH MANY ANIMATIONS, VOICE LINES AND MODELS AND TEXTURES before it's actually relased so other people don't get head start as I am still DOWNLOADING the game as other people are PLAYING it.

No, I'm not after the new voice lines or anything! Why would you think that!

Valve doesn't seem to be allowing pre-loading that often anymore, but I don't think it's the case here. I think the game simply isn't finished yet.

I think it shouldn't be that big, maybe 1gb or two, because of the sounds files.

I heard over Halloween they were finalizing some things. That may still be going on.

In addition, there isn't a set release date. So I'm not surprised we can't preload (yet).

I don't expect a preload though, since it won't be a large game or a game hugely in demand like BF:BC2 or Half Life Episode 2.

500 mb would be much for a TTG episode.

What head start? Its a single player game, no multiplayer, plus its poker its not hard.

The game will be very small under 100mb for sure, it looks like a game with one map, 4 models, not a lot of textures, the thing that would take up space is sound files with all the dialog, but i'm sure they will be compressed.

Honestly? Telltale seems to generally stick to 500Mb-ish sizes for their episodes. Can't think why this should be any larger. Certainly, it could be quite a bit smaller, with no pesky models or maps in the way.
