Pricing?
ARMA II came out in 2009. It is nearly 2011 and the game is priced at $40. Seems kind of pricey for a game that's been out for this long.
Or is it just me?

Or you could buy Combined Operations - two games in one - for around that price.

the game value is viewed differently by us
same goes with ongoing support as You can follow our betas ... or posting of me or other BI developers on BI forums / facebook etc. anyway i really suggest everyone to move on ARMA 2: Combined Operations as OA code is receiving some fixes and improvements which can't be used anymore for ARMA 2 code (due engine changes) __________________ Open Game Protocol : www.open-game-protocol.org Follow me at http://twitter.com/FoltynD |

I love the ARMA series, but was unsure as to why it was priced so highly- even after so long. Compared to other games that drop the price a number of months after release, and even more a few months after that. |

Why not do something along these lines:
Owners of the Steam version of Arma 2 will be able to purchase Operation Arrowhead at 50% off! Steam already has a deal like this for Cities XL Regular Edition customers who purchase Cities XL 2011. Last edited by WV2MJR: 11-05-2010 at 07:47 AM. |

because we see no reason to sell our titles on 80 USD to sell with 50% off to be still on 40

As much as I'm critical of the Arma series, 30 or 40 bones is not a lot. Plus, what other game gives you dedicated servers, a modding community that is always producing something, and regular updates to their game?
