Monday it is. silver lining: I'm rerunning through HL2 and it's episodes...damn they never stop being awesome.

it's kinda hard to be a thief when you haven't actually taken anything. Anyone who's bothered to check their bank account has probably realized that valve hasn't actually charged for the $15, unless I won the "Secretely won a free game" contest.

And they most likely won't until after delivery of the key.

Also, what exactly was Valve supposed to say? "uh, we don't know when they'll get us more keys" oh yeah, because that would have gone over totally awesome. They said they were working on it a few pages back.

The only thing Valve can be criticized for is being careless with posting proper notice on the store page, and they should be criticized, it was a poor decision on someone's part, and they should be reprimanded for it, but that hardly makes them thieves.

Did you try the demo? After all that is why something like a demo is published beforehand.

No one is really suggesting we dont have sales in future, all I want and all many people want, is to be informed that the keys are not ready. To receive an apology that isnt basically a joke. Something slightly longer than a few line, one of which was assine crap.

I'd have preffered for them to have enough keys, sure, but if someone messed up, all steam would have to do was step up, say we're very sorry, we're trying to get new keys but heres the eta. Sorry once again.

I mean, I can deal with the wait, but its the fact that I've paid for this and wasnt told that it wasnt in stock. Aside from how stupid it is that they have stock levels for a none physical item (artificially constrained bull♥♥♥♥ much) its the fact they cant even be arsed to tell us.

I'm really happy that everyone bought their game and all, BUT I JUST WANT A F KEY.

I posted on the 1st page and felt the need to add that we are OWED something more. Specifically, an additional $5 should be discounted for those who purchased the game after keys "ran out". If you agree, please be verbal about it and perhaps it can happen although I'm certainly not holding my breath.

All we are owed is the game we have purchased, nothing more, nothing less. If valve does wanna kick us something in apologies, good on them, demanding it however is being unreasonable and more likely to cause them to NOT try to make amends, it may just make them less likely to offer some games on sale if they even think this could happen again.

They know there's a problem, they know we're (well...not me, i couldn't care less, but the general population) pretty miffed about it, more keys will arrive tomorrow. I think we can put this entire topic to rest now.

Yeh, but people are saying sale should have stopped as soon as keys ran out, which I heartily disagree with. It's basically a given that everyone on this thread would have missed out on the discount were that the case. When you eventually get the keys, which you will, you will still have bought the game $15 cheaper than you otherwise would have.

The other points, yeah, I agree.
