Zombies Port Forward?

Does zombies require any port forwarding from the host?

I don't see how zombie mode is so horribly messed up in terms of connectivity while a game like Left4Dead works flawlessly using local server between my friends.

Right now the situation is:
Me + Roommate behind same router and a Third person in a different apartment.

The issues:
- When third person hosts, only one of us can join his game at a time between me and my roommate. Both of us cannot simultaneously join his game.
- When either me or my roommate hosts the other can join but no one from the outside can. I suspect this has to do with ports on our router.

So as you can see we cannot actually start a game where all three of us are present.

So there are two things I'm wondering:
1) What ports (if any) need to be forwarded to host? If no port forwarding is required, why can no one join my game if I make it public?
2) Why is it that my roommate and I cannot join the same game unless one of us is hosting?

I too have this issue. I had this in the first Zombie mode in World at War. I setup a DNAT to change the outgoing port on one of my computers on my network so that the two connecting to the third person would work.

Any idea what the outgoing client port is in Black Ops for Zombies?

Obviously seems to be an issue with call of duty games, the problem is this command no longer works

CoD 4 Fix

Not sure what to do here. Two people on the same LAN cannot connect to the third person. I've tried running netstat -b but the third persons' ip never shows up...

TCP 192.168.1.227:49222 68.177.101.60:27030 TIME_WAIT
TCP 192.168.1.227:49223 68.142.83.179:27030 TIME_WAIT
TCP 192.168.1.227:49233 209.170.69.11:3074 ESTABLISHED

I have no idea what port it is using for outgoing connections.

on same website is a program called: portchecker
which checks with external source if your ports are open.
Do this to make sure you did it right. Maybe they are still closed
