Attack key unresponse in Conquest

It seems to only be in Conquest mode that the attack key (right CTRL) is unresponsive. I've verified that there's nothing wrong with the keyboard (quickie program to capture key presses), and it's pretty much as bad when I re-assign the key to something else.

This makes it rather annoying, as one lines up the perfect shot, only to have it not go off.

Anyone else have this problem?

I used a different key, but I noticed it needed to be seriously pressed in order to work. It was much easier to fire in classic mode. So yes, I will agree with that.

I did see the Windows sticky key prompt at one point...

It seems to take about 3 presses of the fire to launch one shot.
