Remove whatever plugin(s) you're running and make sure -insecure isn't in your startup options.

rightclick in games library on left 4 dead 2 >properties >set launch options
there you can write such things but it makes no difference if there is "-insecure" in or not i tried both.. since the update (19.11.10) i get the same error: CONNECTION BLOCKED Please remove any plug-ins before attempting to connect to a vac secured server. i uninstalled in games library and deleted the whole l4d2 folder on my computer and reinstalled the game; the error is there anyway. i googeled for hours but found nothing to fix it

Also check if anything of your environment could interfere with Steam: 1. Close all background programs. Cleanup your environment. 2. Read this article: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...9828-SFLZ-9289 I had this problem for some time ago. Not sure how it disappear now. Last edited by Silicon Vampire: 11-24-2010 at 11:43 AM. Okies
I did all the way long from cleaning actually all services beside Microsoft to reconfiguring router to default config. Currently dling l4d 2 on my laptop so I can compare two machines on same connection type. I'm pretty sure something is messed up in file structure of l4d 2. If someone finds solution let us know plx :-) OK here are some more information Even if I choose not to choose to official server Error appears. Even if I launch dedicated UN-secured LOCAL server error appears. LOGIC ? Last edited by ItchyBall: 11-24-2010 at 12:55 PM. Reason: More information to add |
