How does this compare to the Culdcept games?

I love the Culdcept games but I've burned more than once picking up a look-alike that when played is nothing at all like I expected to be.

This looks pretty similar to Culdcept. Is it?

I have Culdcept and it's hard to compare the 2 of them. GoG is WAY more in depth and is full of strategy. Culdcept is very random and linear in comparison. I played Culdcept for a few days and dropped it for lack of depth. GoG is more like Magic the Gathering combined with a fantasy miniatures wargame.

GoG is a dream come true IMHO.

Not that I am aware of. Card Battle games for the PC are slim pickens but this year has seen a bit of a revival in the genre.

So far this just seems like a tactics RPG with cards to create a bit of spell/item randomization.

Im not a fan of tactics games.

I'll give it a few more hours. It doesnt help that the text on the cards is so small. I can't zoom them in like in Duels of the Plainswalkers?

Culdcept have deck customization. Here...It's just another thing with cards, as u said. I'm a big fan of Culdcept and Magic the gathering. The cards here...just a plus. An unbalanced plus. The best part is: Since your deck isn't customizable, it's unbalanced for both sides

Do you mind naming some other card battle games for pc? I really like this type of games, and as you said there aren't many for pc.

Three games are available here on Steam. Magic the Gathering: Duel of the Planeswalkers which has 3 expansions, Spectromancer and it's League of Heroes Expansion, and Guardians of Graxia with it's first map pack now available.

A couple somewhat obscure games are Bellatorus Deluxe and Mythoria.

Poxnora as already mentioned, is a turn based game.
And there is Battle Forge, but its an rts game.
