General/Random Crash Fix

I have been experiencing infrequent crashing like many people on this forum. Here is what has worked for me.

1. In your Steam Library, right-click "Lego Harry Potter" and click "Properties".
2. Click "Set Launch Options" and type "-dx9" (without parentheses) and click "OK".
3. In the game, navigate to "Options -> Video Settings" and turn off the "Enhanced Effects", restart the game.

If you continue to have crashes I would try:

Changing "Texture Detail" from High to Low and/or
Changing the screen resolution to a lower setting.

You may have to experiment with different video settings but so far I have played over 12 hours with only one crash.

What seems to have worked for me is updating my GPU's drivers to 266.58.
(On a NVIDIA GTX295). Was experiencing a constant crash in the first troll battle.
