SOMEBODY STICKY THIS!
Attention, anyone with mouse control problems in game (supposedly this is only for Vista/7 users!) - Go to your C:/ > Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Freedom Force folder. - Right click on the fforce .exe file, and choose properties. - Go to the Compatibility tab. In there, check the box that says "disable desktop composition". That should fix it for most users. |

Doesn't work for me on Windows 7. The mouse controls are beyond broken. He runs in the other direction, doesn't move or walks through houses proclaiming that he "can't do this" and then starts to destroying the houses instead of going where I wanted him to go.
Any other suggestion? |

Man, that sucks. That's the exact problem I had, and the "disable desktop composition" fixed it for me. The only other suggestion I have is to try verifying the integrity of the game cache through Steam, then restart Steam, and also just reboot Windows if that doesn't work. Apparently, even after a fresh install of the game after initially purchasing it, verifying the game cache will find about 8 files that need fixing. Weird!
One thing I tried before settling on that though: changed compatibility of the fforce .exe to Windows XP SP2 - didn't work. I hear that if you change the compatibility of not only the .exe but ALSO Steam, then relaunch it, you might get results (but really, how stupid is that fix?)
