Framerate stuck?
Hi everyone,
I'm having an "issue" of sorts with Guardian of the Light. While I can play the game, I'm finding I'm not really getting the framerates I desire. Aside from buying a new PC, I'm hoping I can get some help or a reason. Let me explain to you why this is somewhat strange. Running everything on max (though without AA) I get roughly 33 FPS when moving around and roughly 40FPS when standing still (measured with FRAPS). This isn't THAT surprising, my PC is getting on in years (though it can still tackle Crysis on high). So I figure I'll just drop some settings. Then I drop some more settings, and some more... Until I decided to put everything to the minimum. Running at 640x480 (as opposed to my 1920x1080) with the lowest possible settings, even POINT texture filtering, I STILL GET THE SAME FRAME RATES. What's the deal with this? Is there anywhere to change it? Vsync is off, it should not be an issue. Last edited by Weaver: 11-27-2010 at 10:02 PM. |

Framerate is weird
I agree. I came to the forums looking for a solution for this. Same thing happens to me. I'm playing in my laptop (specs below) and I'm getting around 30 FPS (Fraps) all high. I tried changing it to all low and the same, around 30 FPS. Maybe I got a few frames more but it should be more.
