Saved games make it so i can save it easy to bring to other comp.

Hi

I know how to backup my saved games but after serching and reading for it .

So this tip i gonna give you wuld save many frustrations out there.

Make a save game tag in the right klick menu of the game as you have for the backup thing .

so you just rightklick and you can put your saved games on a usb or whatever you want.

All that have 2-3 or more pc/mac getting a new pc/mac have a pc/mac at home one at the( work :P),at mom's and the other at dad and so on .

wuld really like this.

A better way would be to automatically synchronize the game save folder with Steamcloud so it's even less worry for the customer. Until that's in, you can use any file synchronization service. Most people mentioning that worship Dropbox, I prefer Live Mesh, they have a MacOS client too (at least they had one the last time I checked).

The problem with syncing every save with steamclound like this is that not every save is stored in the same place. Some are stored in the documents, some are in the program folder for the particular game, and some are in just a random spot on the harddrive.

What PC developers need to do is simply dedicate a particular spot that ALL pc games use to save, but that's asking way too much.

Dude, this doesn't require more work than the initial suggestion, namely a sort of database of save location. Can you PLEASE stop talking problems when they're solvable?

You suggested using steamcloud of it. That was the problem with using steamcloud with it.

Dude, once again. The initial suggestion requires database work anyway. And if there is a database of save location, clouding it isn't that much of a step.

Hmm

Im no programmer or so .

But i just made a shortcut on my desk, so i just can mark it and copy and paste it to the usb.

So how can it be so difficult for them to just link it in the menu as i said cant be hard .

And ofc if company use steam for there games then just do it .

rightclick the save tab in game menu link go to save folder, save
menu come up you chose were to save . think even i can do it with some research.

Baccus
edit=
