Lost progress in 2.06 update? Don't panic, damage is limited.

The good news is that achievements seem unaffected and people can unlock progress from the game menu, under "unlock features". So ultimately people don't HAVE to replay everything.

So, if you bring up the menu with "esc" and then follow through:

Step 1
Step 2

Obviously a proper fix will arrive soon so this won't happen to new players. This is likely a steam side glitch (not pointing fingers) so hopefully we will be able to sort this fairly soon.

Would unlocking campaigns affect the "Lightsecond" Achievement? I was in chapter 3 when I lost my save data. Basically my question is this; If I skip ahead and unlock Chapter 3, does that screw over my chance of getting said achievement because I didn't play through every level within 10 hours?

With a bit of luck there won't be a need to replay things you have already played. I think the achievements related data was not in the file that was overwritten.

I can't confirm this yet though, but it seems fine.

Alright, I edited and rephrased my original question a bit but the answer would still be the same. Thanks for the reply and I do like the new update

I own the steam version but I updated with the patch from the main website (the exe) a couple of days ago and I didn't lose any save files.

I'm convinced the problem is with Steam because several other games that use Cloud have lost all progress.

ok, i did that and played last night with 2.06 fine (after steam update on the news section) . Just noticed that steam has updated Eufloria not 10mins ago and now I'm back on 2.05 and my progress is wiped? Why on earth has steam just downgraded and wiped my Eufloria???

Its not a problem ive just re-patched to 2.06 and unlocked from the level i was on just weird is all.

Okay, just received a 1mb update and I've lost all progress and my game version says 2.05

My game version also says 2.05 (downloaded 2 updates in the past 24 hours) and my data was lost as well.

So we were upgraded, downgraded, and data wiped anyway? (I had not played a 2.06 version)

I'm not complaining about lost data. I'm just trying to understand why it still says 2.05 when supposedly it was the update to 2.06 that wiped the data.

I bought Eufloria 2 days ago.
Today I got a new update and my save game and settings are deleted again!
Everyday my settings are deleted by an update. Really great
