Does anyone know why Valve releases mid-day instead of in the morning?

I know that they don't do automated releases, so maybe there's prep involved? Like they get to the office and do hours of work before they pull the switch so to speak?

Its morning for them. (10a) Probably want to allow staff to get in and take care of initial business before any release weirdness happens.

Just don't expect a release as soon as the counter hits 0.

Probably another failed release in time due to technical issues? I hope not

It's a release through steam, but it's not a valve release. So hopefully no mumbo jumbo delays.

I think I remember from the last game I preordered that steam is stupid and says "one hour left" from 1hour 59minutes until 1hour then starts counting down the minutes. I could be wrong though, it was a long time ago.
