Suggestions for the friend's recommendations feature

I realize that this is a new feature and also a less than vital part of the steam experience, but I'm going to comment on it anyway:

1) I'd like to be able to hide recommendations for specific instances (posts), specific games, and specific users.


Sometimes my friends have bad taste. Ideally, they would have good taste, but at the very least their bad taste shouldn't be polluting my recommendations page. =)

Also, if I wasn't interested in a game the first couple of times I saw it, it probably wouldn't help to see it another ten times (although, Valve's marketing department may disagree with me here).

2) I'd like the option to hide recommendations for games that I already own and which are already on my wish list.


I love TF2. I love the heck out of it, but I already own TF2. Maybe some people enjoy seeing their favourite games being recommended over and over again, but it does me no good to see the recommendation for the 20th time. Same reasoning for games that are already on my wish list.
