iphone RAGE game already out

I find it disturbing that the iphone version of Rage is already out (or coming out right away, can't remember) and yet the PC version is AT LEAST a year from release. It's just a lousy rail shooter, but still... been waiting for like 2 years for this game already, and they actually spent time churning out a shovelware version for Apple's phone/pad.

Companies really need to stop wasting resources on shovelware versions for cell phones and touchpads and focus on the actual games they're making.

If I see a game that is coming out on ps2, ps3, 360, Wii, iphone, etc... I will probably avoid it. The devs get spread too thin with so many versions sometimes that the game suffers and ends up sucking.

Anyways... really looking forward to Rage!

well rage is coming out for pc xbox360 and ps3 as well as the iphone app

iPhone games a NEVER the same as the PC. So it wouldn't hurt the PC version at all due to it being made separately.
As for stop making "shovelware" - cellphone games right now are HUGE money makers, so from a company standpoint it's worth the time and effort to make them.

well the games not to bad on the iphone. the motion controls do take a lil bit getting used to. but hey only 1more day

The app was meant to promote the game. Came out quite some time ago. Doesn't bother me.

Yeah, been out for like a year or so now. So the OP is a little behind the times and actually its a pretty good game.

They intended to make money off of it but I know Carmack really wanted to see how well the engine would scale on a mobile device. It does pretty damn well I might add. Much more immersive than most games out there even if it's totally on rails.

Yep I bought that game a really long time ago (perhaps almost 2 years ago) for my iPhone.

I had no idea that id was making an fps with the same title.

That game has been released long time ago. Besides, it is not the same game. It's just like a RAGE promo for iOS and it's not the same game. In this game, your character moves automatically through a level while you only shoot at enemies. It has very good graphics for a mobile, but of course it's completely different than the original RAGE.

It's kinda like Doom Resurrection (ios title). On rails shooter with great graphics.
