do prepaid visa cards work with steam?

I'd like to use a prepaid visa card (specifically the one from rbc, but if one type works they all should) to add funds to my steam wallet, as I don't want to link my bank to paypal. so do they work or not. I only want to buy it if it's confirmed to work so I can't test it.

one more thing. A problem I see is steam only lets me fill up the steam wallet in chunks of 25 or so dollars USD. the only problem is it would be canadian so I couldn't use up all of the card :/. as $50 USD is over.

EDIT: sorry to clarify the card would be in canadian dollars

Steam operates with three major currencies worldwide and the USD is used everywhere outside of Europe, I believe. Therefore it is something you just have to work around, I'm afraid..., unless you can get the pre-paid card from across the border some how. Perhaps mail order or via a friend who travels there.

As long as they use Mastercard/Visa and anything else that is supported - there should be no problems
