YOUR 1.8 CORE2DUO is the problem, it does not meet the recommended and it is the bottleneck on your CPU, as mentioned in loads of other threads this game is very very CPU hungry and even quad cores strugle with this game never mind slow dual cores. Your only option will be to get a new CPU.
