Can you change your color in the Steam Chat?
When I look at my Steam Profile it shows my avatar picture surrounded by a blue box. When I look at my Steam Friends (in this case, my son) his avatar picture is surrounded by a green box. When we use the Steam Chat to talk to each other likewise my name is in blue and his is in green.
I never thought about this until he asked me what colors I was seeing our names in. We both verified that my name was in blue on both computers and his name was in green on both computers. Then he said he wanted to be blue. So far I have not seen anyway to change the color. Does anybody know if and how this can be done? Because now I'm curious, too. So far everything I see is green and blue, even the emote smilies you put in your posts are all green except for one blue one. Is the whole interface locked to gray, green and blue? (Of course the emote smilies are only used here in posts and not in the Friends chat.) Last edited by MrBang: 12-18-2010 at 06:07 PM. Reason: Grammar. |

Also grey means you are offline and if you want to type in a solid color just do this.
/me insert text here and whatever your account status your text will be that color. |
