is this game any good?

i was thinking of buying this one, but other threads here say it cant be played without a controller? are there any missions ? how is the single player?

Tried about 4 mins of it and un-installed it.

Game might be a good arcade shooter but tbh, just felt more like a unfinished worse then indy game.

For others wondering, I think it may be best to compare this to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.

While not as good, the basic gameplay seems similar so far.

Keyboard control layout is awful (You can't change them either). No mouse support. Tutorial uss Xbox buttons to show controls even when not using one.
You need a controller to take advantage of this.

I wouldn't have bought it with the state its in right now. Good thing Destructoid had a giveawy on this game.

crap i wish i could comment on how good the game is but the darn thing crashes to desktop after the top gun logo :\ of all the 64 games i have on steam this is the only one which wont run....

I played it all the way through on single player on Chrismtas Eve and Christmas Day, and I experienced no major issues. I was using an XBOX 360 controller.

It's decently fun.

It crashes to desktop on startup for me too (WinXP Home). Even if it worked, now that I see that you need a controller, I wouldn't have bought it.

I'll take this as a reminder to stick to my own saying of "if you can't try it - don't buy it" or "no demo - no dinero"...

I havent played it, BUT sounds like it shouldnt live in the 'simulator' section of steam.
