Lightbulb Stranger's Wrath: Setting A Custom Resolution.

If you wish to set a custom resolution in this game, open config.txt found here:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\stranger's wrath

Then, add the following lines:

Code:
width=2560
height=1600
fullscreen
resolution=custom
You will need to change the width and height to your preferred resolution.

Note it's Vert-, so you're losing picture. It's best to run the game in 4:3 with bars on the sides, same as an old movie.

They could have reconfigured it for true widescreen support, but since they barely did anything to the game in the first place I guess that was too much to hope for.

Ugh - even the worst PC ports have custom resolution settings built into the game. Shame, I was really looking forward to this release. Here's hoping the fix some of the issues - at least in terms of performance.

I agree that it really is quite lazy for the developers to have not implemented a proper resolution selection setting considering it is set from the launcher anyway.

What excuse is there for using the ridiculous presets that don't even state what each setting means? Sure it's in the ReadMe file but it shouldn't be necessary to even look at that just to set a resolution!!! Is it really user-friendly to have to manually edit a configuration file?

You're kidding, right? Resolution and video settings are almost always gimped in ports.

Necromas is right IMO Relating to low/med-budget ports

It's a shame really, I heard there were a lot of problems with the port which is why it has taken so long.

Shame really the oddworld games deserve perfect ports

I have no idea changing the resolution to widescreen because it breaks the aspect ratio in menus because they are designed for 4:3 resolution :/

What about Munch's Oddysee? Is it possible to change resolution?

There's no excuse for poor screen resolution support. Especially for a company who have been in the games dev' for so long.

Can you PLEASE implement a letterboxing option or proper Hor+ widescreen?
I'd rather have the game letterboxed to 4:3 on my 16:9 monitor then have the whole game distort.

I have a DVI monitor and it does the thing automatically

Windows prevents keeping certain aspect ratios if your monitors support HDCP.

IE: If you have a 1080 monitor, use DVI or HDMI, you cannot keep a 4:3 aspect ratio because the drivers will not permit it.
