Multiplayer
can we have a multiplay mode
? ( players limit up to at least 4 ) my friends don't want to play SMB because it's a single player game and i think, if there's a multiplay mode, it'll be awesome. i want to have a race with my friends, you too right? can u imagine?! |

Get New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
It has multiplayer and would probably fit your skillset better. |

Whilst I agree that his friends are stupid, Doco1220 isn't the first person to suggest this.
"Racing" each other is implemented via Leaderboard times. |

Ed and Tommy have said they wanted to focus on the single-player aspect of the game - if they created a multiplayer it would take away from the original story and the single-player part. Also, I believe they said they tried some sort of multiplayer thing but it ended up creating a lot of problems and they couldn't get it to work properly so they just scrapped it.
Although I agree it would make things interesting, there are still leaderboards and tons of things to do in single-player to keep you busy for a while, so I don't think there was really a need for multiplayer anyways. |

Can you imagine making a game like SMB, with all the precision required, and adding online lag-free racing?
For 2 guys, that's a tall order. N+ had 2 player though. (Why don't they bring THAT out on Steam too? I know we have N, but...) |
