I'm not buying the full version until I know for sure that there is FLAC support. I have ripped all of my CDs to both WMA Lossless (for Windows Media Player) and FLAC (for my Cowon S9). I'd rather not have to create a third library copy in MP3. Surprisingly enough, Audiosurf actually supportes all of those formats... |

Achievements for me!
But nothing impossible, like get your name on the leader boards or play for a year or anything like that. I actually find point-based achievements boring. Here's a good one. Make an infinite donut. (I saw those odd rings lined up in a circle and shot them and it just cycled my shot forever. Was pretty cool.) Just have achievements like doing fun little things like that, or killing a certain amount of enemies overall, enter 50 arena warps, etc. And achievements can only be completed on a difficulty where enemies appear or something. But yes, I just ask that you don't add any of those mind-numbing achievements... Nobody likes them... |

My vote is for more file format support. WAV is a must. I can live without FLAC support, but it would be nice.
One thing I have noticed about the various audio-adaptive games is that so far, none of them have module decoders for MOD/MTM/S3M/XM/IT files, nor do they have MIDI synthesisers. Support for these formats would be nice, but if it's too much trouble, I guess I can live with writing them out to WAV, given I've already had to do it for Audiosurf and Beat Hazard. As for the Achievements, new enemy and autopilot, they sound interesting, but I'd still put them low on the list compared to file format support. I'd suggest leaving the Achievements until after adding the autopilot and new enemy. As you said, the autopilot would be fairly quick to add, so go for it first. The new enemy could provide some ideas for achievements, so it might be a good idea to add it first and get some feedback. For a suggestion to file under "other", how about an option to write out the fractal to a volumetric data format so you can load it up in something like POVRay? |

itunes plugin that allows to play from playlists and shared libraries would be really great. Really would love an autopilot or screensaver mode |

OK guys I'm going to start off with update that adds support for any format that you have codecs for. Not the most requested feature but probably the most essential for users who got music collections in whatever format, and it was relatively simple to implement (I had to fix some issues in how I use the codecs and that's all).
That's it, flac, wavpack, wma, mp4 audio(hopefully), and so on, will all be supported if you have codecs installed. (and .wav of course) In fact I got it working now, I'm only finding good codecs to recommend (so many codecs nowadays are bundled with adware) The update will be ready on today's evening or so. I have a few other things to do, e.g. change default playlist order so that it won't start with Christmas themed music any more. The mod, midi, etc may be supported if you can find DirectShow codecs for those formats. Last edited by Dmytry: 01-13-2011 at 01:59 PM. |

How about a slider for game speed, i.e speed of ship and all objects. Ship starts off way too slow and only speeds up a little w/ the ghosts.. Would enjoy the game w/ a speed slider.

Yeah, I'd also go for more variety, more enemy types, so 3, maybe 2. And 6: Introduce more solid obstacles in the arenas, that can be used as cover, and that destroy your ship if you fly against them. Like asteroids, solid walls (maybe tunnels), and things like that.

You can do this now with the new use any format style. http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1617040 This works for anything that your speakers output, I just started a channel on last.fm/ and hopped in game and it's working for me, likewise I can listen to iTunes while playing this and it scrobbles through iTunes.
If you need any help setting it up I'll do my best to help My vote: 6 - More animators and/or multiple animators (waves with laser overlay--omg!) Last edited by Monukai: 01-01-2012 at 10:33 AM. Reason: Adding my vote |

3, 2, 4, 5, 1, 6: a simple mission mode (maybe something like kill x amount of enemies with 3 lives or defend x amount of allies or something). it would make it feel more like a game. i know there are achievements like this but i think a proper mode would be better.
