This game rocks!

Awesome....just awesome! I have never paid attention to it. Hell, i didnt even know of its existence. But now...all i do is run and i LOVE it! First i played with the XBOX wireless controller but now i play it with keyboard and mouse which is, in my case, much more easier. This city is just one big beauty!
The running, the breath, jumps, rolls, shots, sound, graphics, puzzels. Its all there! This is for me THE BEST title i have bought in 2010!! Its looks so....so...fresh! I can smell the air, i feel the air. When i fall my stomach turns. Men this is such a good concept...im deeply impressed! Very....very well done EA!! Lets go for ME2. Cant wait!

yes, I agree. I have tired of all FPS COD craps. this year, I didn't even buy COD Blops (black ops). it looks the same like modern warfare 2. so far I have searched for some totally(?) new games. Mirror's edge opened my eyes. it's like FPS sports. you have few awesome actions. graphic is just incredible. the company which made this game also made bad company 2 as well. I knew that DICE does such a incredible job. you know only thing what I like FPS game this year? it's bad company 2. that's it. this game exceed all other COD craps. I bet you already played it.

anyway, love this mirror's edge so much. I hope you guys enjoy it, happy holiday.

Same here. Such a great game! So glad that I jumped in on the $5 holiday deal.

And I agree that this game can only be really played on PC with a keyboard/mouse. Playing on a console with console controllers would be pretty frustrating.

There is so much potential here that I hope they decide to make a sequel to this newly created FPR (first-person-runner) genre.

Some examples of possible sequel elements:

- Add role-playing elements like BioShock where you can upgrade your abilities over time. Not to make it into another run & gun FPS, but to have upgrades that suit the style of the game, such as higher jumping or, say, a grappling hook.

- Mix in chilled-out puzzle-solving parts like from games like Portal, to balance out the fast-paced run-for-your-life parts. This game is so fast-paced and vertigo-inducing that I usually need to take a break after each chapter.

- Probably will get disagreement on this one, but have sniper scenarios where you provide cover fire for another runner. Think of that scene in "The Last of the Mohicans" where the messenger is trying to leave the fort, and Daniel Day Lewis is sniping all enemies as they are about to attack the runner.

I adore Mirrors Edge, and one of the small bits that I love is the way the wind rushes in your ears as you fall from a building. Getting louder and louder, you can just feel the pressure on your eardrums!

Even after falling a hundred million times I still got a thrill from that

I like the idea of chilled out puzzles strawzombie, something you can sit and get the adrenaline surge down without leaving this beautiful game.

I like how there is no one-button sprint. You have to slowly build up to full speed like real life instead of "push button to instantly go full speed" like most games. So I have to back up and do running jumps.

I was just thinking the same thing while playing earlier. I'll sometimes do intentional suicide jumps, like off the very tip of a crane, just to experience that euphoric rush before the SPLAT!

Yeah this game kicks . I spent $50 when it came out and even though it only took me 5 hours to beat I regret nothing. I played it start to finish 4 times in the first week I had it

I just love its pristine colours, fresh sounds, this game's a thing of beauty.
I'm an old fan of Battlefield series but will remember DICE for Mirror's Edge.

I don't need to do it intentionally, my skill level means it happens often enough without even trying!

Funny Kimohboda, I had that exact same problem. The bar in the Atrium right? Once I managed to get it while being shot at, then jumped to my death to try do it for real, and got it after a try or two. I had spent a dozen tries or more trying to grab it too. I think you had to wallrun then jump to snag the bar before you slipped.

I've finally picked this one up at the $5 sale, and though I haven't beaten it yet, the reviews I read really did not do this game justice. I don't think it's fair to give a game a low 7 rating in these times of grade inflation, when its only flaw is its length. I agree that for $50 the single player should be longer, however, the game does seem very replayable. If you missed the $5 sale and you don't yet own this game, just pick it up. It's worth $20.
