Second Ankh.. How the F am I supposed to get it?

OK... Stupid question. I'm new to the Serious Sam series. Played a lot of similar games in my youth, but .. well it was on sale and stuff..

Anyway.. There's this room with a stone ankh at the bottom of a pond... and I need it to get through a door.. but I get impaled instantly when I touch that ankh, and obviously there's a trick to it - but I've tried pretty much everything I could think of.. so .. help?!

There's a switch in a nearby room which disables the trap.
