Thoughts on Grand Ages: Rome?

Just curious what people thought about this game. I'm considering dropping the money on it since I don't have any city builder games and i've always wanted to try one. How does this compare to say, the civcity: rome sale for 99 cents, or the children of the nile pack for $3.12?

Or if anyone else has any other recommendations. I like games that have more of an emphasis on the "life" part of the game and less on the bean counting aspects.

Games like sim city and cities XL do not interest me.

I've been asking myself this very question too.
It looks really nice, and well worth the money. Building a city in ancient roman time looks promising, the GFX looks solid enough, and for 7 bucks, I think getting it.

Is there someone with the game that can shed light on the game itself please?
