il2setup.exe is not working

Hi everyone. I just bought IL-2 1946. Before playing I had to make some fine tuning with the video configuration, but when I try to open il2setup.exe, it launches the game instead.
The exe originally was named il2set.exe. I tried renaming it to il2setup, but it kept doing the same thing.

Please help. I really need this configurator to get the game running properly!

Did this ever get fixed ?
Renaming IL2set.exe to IL2setup.exe was the only suggestion, but that does not appear to work.

You can configure most things from the in-game menu, I think. Alternatively, you can play with your conf.ini file, which lets you set resolution and other things. There's lots of guides on how to configure conf.ini
