Definitely going to buy

Simply because the guys who made it also made Frontlines: Fuel of War. FFOW was never a popular game, and it has its flaws, but it had a lot of potential, and I really enjoyed it. I'm really hoping the devs took what they learned from FFOW and made an even better game this time around.

Anybody else a fan of Frontlines: Fuel of War?

Sidenote: The Xbox 360 tag at the end of the trailer may have jarateed off a huge number of Steam members... oops. Probably should have taken that out before you posted it here on Steam, guys.

I'm not going to buy it. Making a game that focus on patriotism so much is not my cup of tea. Seriously, calling it Homefront and giving us a stupid explanation about it being 'war in our home' but only in America. That is stupid.

Definate pre-order.

Few reasons.

1) Fuel of War was a great game that didn't get much love, buried by the commercial giants at the time.

2) PC version is being developed specifically for the pc, not a console port.

hopefully this is the new trend with pc specific development once again and the end of the console boom. no more mw2/cod:bo port fiasco's.

Homefront , BF3 , Red Orchestra 2 ... who's next with true PC games.

HUH? Its a fictional story. Not buying it because its not your kind of theme is fine. The story is that America was invaded. What other country should it be set in? Hmmm....North Korea invades America but we need to focus on a Brazilian campaign cause?

There's some conflicting information, the wiki says it is being ported by a third-party company. In that video Frank Delise goes over that. Kaos is not doing the porting.

Homefront's PC version has been outsourced to Digital Extremes, a Canadian developer responsible for numerous Unreal Tournament games and Bioshock ports.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homefro...%29#PC_Version
I would also hope the PC version would be developed for the PC, if the PC version were developed for anything else it wouldn't run.

There's actually no mention of PC in this video that talks about the main development goal for multiplayer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SVT2...eature=related
Does not instill confidence.

I played Frontlines, it had some issues. I would usually do pretty well, but there simply was no community and nothing special. I fear this will follow the same path on PC.

I am waiting to see how large the maps will be and how many players they will support on the PC. Will it be another Blackops console shovelware 20 player tiny map cluster XStation port? Or do I get my 64 player large maps?

Console Kiddies go ------------------> That way
PC Gamers Hold the line!

Sigh how did we go BACKWARDS from the days of the Desert Combat Mod AC-130 with a pilot/copilot/2minigunnners/2artygunners/mobile spawn point. Somehow we slipped over that slippery corporate monster $$$$$$$$$ and went backwards rather than progressed.

What I expected
RED DAWN!
What I got
PRE-ORDER MINI CHOPPERS
PRE-ORDER MINI CHOPPERS EVERYWHERE

COOL DOG I just unlocked the space laser unlock it automatically kills guys from low earth orbit for you while you alt tab to look at grey Area. Sweet. The future of gaming. A stack of dollar signs crushing a controller forever.
