What is STEAMworks?
STEAMworks is an API for gaming developers. They can use it for free to include a set of STEAM features and solutions.

So, if a game includes STEAMworks, what exactly means?
All the games listed below have ONE OR MORE features mentioned above. See their respective store pages for more individual information.

But why some games are marked as "* only STEAM version"?
A game including STEAMworks features means you MUST use STEAM in order to play the game. Some developers don't want to force their customers and they prefer to develop different versions of the game. So in these cases, ONLY the version bought on STEAM have STEAMworks features.

I like that developers are usually different versions of their games, I wish they would do it more often. Create a Steam version.. and GFWL Version and a normal version.

Duke Nukem Forever will proly be Steamworks since Borderlands players got an early demo key for it.

Skyrim should be Steamworks (makes sense b/c F:NV is)

I really hope this year will be in favor of Steamworks because it's just a great system.

I also hope this is the year that GFWL dies a horrible death cause that has to be the most pathetic piece of software I've ever seen besides the usual DRM crap.

Bulletstorm is confirmed to use Games for Windows LIVE!

Red Orchestra 2 is indeed confirmed as STEAMworks title. I'm going to add to the list right now.

TESV: Skyrim will probably use STEAMworks and hopefully Batman Arkham City aswell....
