16x Crossfire vs 8x Crossfire?

My PCI-E slot on my motherboard will go from 16x to 8x if I install a second video card for a Crossfire setup.

How much faster is crossfire in 16x compared to 8x?

There really is like zero difference versus using 16x and 8x, it only shows up on benchmarking. It's so little dont even think about it.

Yeah, it seems the difference is pretty negligible.
IIRC, someone posted that the biggest difference being x8/x8 is 10% slower than 16x/16x setup on triple monitors.

Don't worry about it. Two cards at 8x/8x is still much faster than one card at 16x.

(Ran two 4770s in Crossfire for over a year and was very happy with them.)

that would have been me here is the link and it was for the GTX480..

iirc it's 1~2% witch is like 1-2 FPS for every 100FPS you get..

This about a single card but still applies to SLi..

It's much more negligible than 8x/8x/4x. You will at WORST lose 5% FPS. Don't worry about it like smellykaka said.
